THE DARK SIDE OF ME. EPISODE 2.

It was a brand new day in the state of Ohio. The whole school was very cold at the time. Everyone was too scared to continue their normal daily activities. The school went on a break for student and staff's safety. The news of Miss Johnson's death had really caused a big fright for everyone in the area.
The whole school had turned into a crime scene with police and inspectors everywhere. The case was assigned to a new detective. He was transferred from Texas because of this.
The detective just arrived the school and the principal had to be there to assist him around.
" Good day detective, thanks for accepting the offer to investigate the death of our teacher. My name is principal Steward" He said to the detective stretching his hands to give a hand shake. The detective wearing a pencil trouser and a tucked-in shirt with a cowboy's heart smiled towards the principal and accepting the hand shake  "Thank you. My name is John Marker".
The principal and the detective talked as they both walked inside the school building. "You can see how deserted this place is right?" the principal asked the detective while showing him empty classrooms and a cafeteria. Detective Marker walked into one of the classes, looking everywhere. "Yeah it's really quiet. But what do you expect, everyone is scared. Miss Johnson did not just died but was killed by one of her students, now that is pretty scary for everyone". He said as they walked out of the building.
" Detective, I think there is something you would want to see" a young female police said to him. Marker and the principal followed the police back inside to Miss Johnson's office. "We found this pen behind the chairs. It looked hidden. I think the killer lost it here" she said, showing them a blood stained pen"
" How did that get there" the principal asked with a shaky voice and the expression of fear in his face.
" Tell doctor Sam to run a full biopsy on that blood and deliver it to my office immediately" Marker told the police.
The detective and the principal walked outside again. The principal began to sweat profusely " could the murder have been committed here" he asked. Marker stood still staring at something unseen as he was thinking " Maybe not the whole murder, but part" he replied the principal.

Michael laid on his bed with a ball in his hands. He continually threw the ball to the ceiling and caught it. He did this severally as he was lost in thoughts. All of a sudden, his little sister walked in with a teddy bear in her hands. "Michael am hungry!! Lizzy and Cynthia are not home and daddy is sleeping" she cried to him. " I.....I.....I...... am.......com....ming" Michael stammered as he got up from the bed and wore a shirt. He carried her downstairs and sat her down on the dinning table chair. " Wh......wh......what do yyyyyy....you wa.......wa......wa.....nt  to eat" he asked her. She smiled at him and screamed "COOKIES!!!!!!". He smiled back at her and got some cookies for her.
Still playing with his little sister on the dinning table, his two other sisters walked in. "Michael, you won't believe who we saw today" Cynthia said as they came towards Michael and Jessica. "Who" he asked. "We met her favourite artist and crush" Lizzy answered ( the older one). He smiled and continued with what he was doing. As Cynthia was about to climb the stairs, she stopped and quickly turned back to her brother. " Michael I am so sorry, I took this pen from your jean pocket while you were sleeping this morning. I didn't want to disturb you" she said as she brought out a pen from her purse. "Who has it anyway, it doesn't look like your regular pen" Lizzy asked as she fed Jessica. Michael took the pen from his sister " it........it's fo.......r G......Gab........Gabriel, I.....I to...ok it from him th.......the d....a......yyy.....I told y........you g...guy,,,,,guys .....to go home" he answered. "oh, okay" Cynthia said as she ran upstairs.

Detective Marker sat on the chair in his office with so many files on his desk. While he was trying to sought it, Doctor Sam came in.
" Detective Marker, it's been long. Good to have you back" she said as she smiled and walked towards him. Marker stood up to hug Sam " Yes it has been long. Good to be back". He said.
They both sat down. Doctor Sam brought the test results out of a file she was holding. " Marker, this is the result from the blood sample. It tested positive to Miss Johnson's blood". She gave the paper to Marker. " What I don't understand is how come. I thought she was murdered in her house" Sam said looking really concerned and confused. Marker stood from his seat " This case is more complicated than I thought. It's either Gabriel is pulling some strings in prison or we have more than  one killer still on the loose in that school. He said.

In the park where children played and ran about, Michael and Sarah walked passed them (the children) each holding a cup of ice cream and sat on a nearby bench. "This ice cream taste really nice" Sarah complimented as she put few spoons in her mouth. " I......I.......I..... know" Michael replied doing the same thing.
After a while, they dropped the empty cup into the waste bin near them. They stared at the little children as they were completely lost in thought looking at some of them playing, some crying and some eating.
" Michael, Sarah, are you here" a girl said as she stood in front of them trying to get them back to consciousness. Michael quickly blinked his eyes to show that he was drawn out of his thought. "Yes we are here. Faith what's up, did you bring the history textbook" Sarah said. Faith sat on the bench with both of them " Yeah I did" she answered, as she brought out a big textbook from  her bag pack.
" Th......an....k you" Michael said as he took the book from her. " We're sure gonna have a blast in our test next week" Sarah said as she smiled looking at the book with Michael. Faith looked at them with a ( I don't think so) face. "I doubt that" she said. Michael turned to her and asked why she said that, because the break was suppose to be over the next week.
" Today, when I went to the library to get this book, I overhead the principal and another guy, I think he is a detective because he works with the police but doesn't wear their uniform. They said part of the murder was committed in school". Faith explained. Sarah stood up from the bench " What!!!! I thought the incident happened at her house". Faith looked at her and calmed her to seat down. " There is more, they found a pen stained with blood in her office. And when I saw the pen, it looked exactly as the one Gabriel and Joshua won from the maths quiz. I am so confused right now. This is really getting scary" Faith said, looking really scared. As Michael heard all this, he began to shiver as a result of fear. " Wha......what is go.......goin.......g on" he asked.
" I don't know, but this is getting really deep" Sarah answered as they sat down and lost focus in the book they were suppose to read.

The Juvenile building were Gabriel was kept was pretty big. A four storey building. It was protected with barbwire all around the fence. Gabriel was locked up in a cell until the investigations were over and the court would have to decide if he was guilty or not.
Detective Marker walked into the area where the criminals were kept. He walked straight to Gabriel's cell and stood outside to speak to him as the bar separated them both. When Gabriel saw him, he ran straight for him with tears in his eyes but could not make any physical contact with him as the bar stood as a barrier. " I didn't do it detective. I am innocent. I don't know what this people are talking about. I was in my house that night. I might be a bully in school, but I can never kill anybody".
Detective Marker looked at him with an expression on his face that showed he didn't believe anything Gabriel was saying. " Then explain the murder weapon we found in your possession or the DNA that matched yours and your teacher" he said. " I have no idea about that, I don't know. I am serious" Gabriel said with tears in his eyes.
Detective Marker walked closer to him " Save the story for the court. I came for something important and I need the truth. Who did you work with" he asked Gabriel. Gabriel looking more confused than ever replied " what!!!! I didn't even commit the offence" he screamed.
Detective Marker smiled at him "proving smart right, don't worry I will find out what happened that night" He said as he walked away
Gabriel screamed so loud, hitting the bar "Believe me!!! I didn't do anything. I didn't commit any murder, pls........" he said as he sat on the floor crying.

"Joshua dinner is ready" His mom screamed. Joshua came down the stairs with his pyjamas on. " Th....an...k yyyy....you mom" he stammered as he sat to eat. His elder brother came down stairs also holding a book in his hands " Joshua, I can't find your pen anywhere" he said as he sat on the chair. Joshua looks at him " It.......it's missi......missing" he said.

DEEP BREATH part 1

The sound of the gunshots woke me up from sleep. I heard little children screaming outside. I quickly put on a black t-shirt and a short lemon nicker. I ran outside and saw a death pool of catholic sisters and some children, blood flooded the whole environment. I ran to where the other children were and I saw them crying with blood stained hands and clothes. Tears filled my eyes but I couldn't cry because I knew it wasn't the time for emotions. I closed the door of the room where they were hiding and told them to keep shut. All of a sudden, the whole place became really quiet, then I could hear their voices. I peeped through a small hole in the door and saw them with guns, cutlass and all sorts of arms. They walked through the dead bodies and made sure no one was alive by shooting them twice. There was no conscience in their eyes. There was no pity. At some point, I asked myself if they were humans, because I knew every human being ...
