HIDDEN HEROES

That's a big word, I mean how is it possible for heroes to be hidden. We hear of heroes and how popular they are, the fact that we hear of them proves that they can't be hidden. So the question is, Who are hidden heroes?
These people are everywhere. It takes one that appreciates to notice them. Two friends were talking and one explained how frustrating life had been. The other friend listened to the whole conversation and concluded by making a sentence ''you are a hidden hero''.
These people are the ones that would lend a friend a pen, take care of a sick friend, kill a mosquito on a friend's body, take the blame for a friend. I can go on and on about what they do, but I think we get the gist.
They are not popular or famous. They don't do popular things that needs to be caught in a camera or carried out by the media. But without them, the world would not stand. They act as pillars supporting a bridge.
The sad thing though, is that they are beginning to fade away because they don't know who they are. Most of them feel useless and worthless, whereas they have done more than that their favourite icon.
The shocking truth is, We are the hidden heroes. Everyone that does something good in someone else's life. We are what holds this world together by God's grace.
We don't know who we are because we don't appreciate each other. Even the bible says '' love your neighbour as your self''.  Once we start doing this, we would realise that the person next to us has done so much for us than we could imagine.
Learn to appreciate people and discover your worth. Know that we didn't come to planet earth by accident, without us, somethings just can't happen.
So who are the hidden heroes? we are. And how? because we have the love of God in us that makes us able to do anything for the people we love.
Hidden heroes are everywhere, when we learn to appreciate, we would notice them, or should I say notice ourselves.

DEEP BREATH part 1

The sound of the gunshots woke me up from sleep. I heard little children screaming outside. I quickly put on a black t-shirt and a short lemon nicker. I ran outside and saw a death pool of catholic sisters and some children, blood flooded the whole environment. I ran to where the other children were and I saw them crying with blood stained hands and clothes. Tears filled my eyes but I couldn't cry because I knew it wasn't the time for emotions. I closed the door of the room where they were hiding and told them to keep shut. All of a sudden, the whole place became really quiet, then I could hear their voices. I peeped through a small hole in the door and saw them with guns, cutlass and all sorts of arms. They walked through the dead bodies and made sure no one was alive by shooting them twice. There was no conscience in their eyes. There was no pity. At some point, I asked myself if they were humans, because I knew every human being ...
